BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – On Tuesday, a jury convicted Edward Marquez of 2-counts of driving under the influence.
Marquez was scheduled to work as an officer for the California Highway Patrol in Bakersfield on the morning of September 27, 2012. When Marquez reported for duty, a supervisor smelled alcohol on his breath and noticed that he appeared to be intoxicated, District Attorney Lisa Green said.
